Windows 7 on a MacBook Pro
This video shows what Windows 7 thinks of the 13″ Macbook Pro’s Hardware. It goes over how well Windows 7 performs on the 13″ MacBook Pro through Bootcamp. It shows the Windows experience index that the MacBook Pro hardware got for each category. It performs very well playing games as well as in many of the other categories of the Windows experience index. Windows 7 runs very well on the 13″ Macbook Pro and if you are looking for an operating system to run on Bootcamp I would recommend Windows 7 or Windows XP.

@tdwp1992 Not …
@tdwp1992 Not really I am probably taking a big risk by not having anti virus. I would recommend getting it though if you can.

Oh, so no …
Oh, so no anti-virus on 7 at all? Are you just really careful on the net in Windows then?
March 1st, 2010 at 10:03 pm
@tdwp1992 Right now …
@tdwp1992 Right now I currently have no anti-virus, but on my other windows machines I have had Norton or Mcafee. Right now my computer has been fine and I have not noticed any problems ( I have been running windows since the beginning of January 2010), but I don’t know what will happen to my Windows in the long run. I have no anti virus on OS X its not really needed. Sorry this is not a very clear answer but if I encounter any viruses I’ll let you guys know

I’m looking at …
I’m looking at doing exactly this (except on a high-end 15″) and I was wondering, what are you using for anti-virus in 7? Whenever I’ve used a Windows machine I’ve always gone straight to Norton and never thought anything of it, but would you call it essential? Cause I dont really wanna spend tonnes when Ill use OS X more. Aswell, what – if any – are you using for anti virus in OS X?

@joni69h Windows 7 …
@joni69h Windows 7 uses up the MBP’s battery very fast, you can get about 1-3 hours of battery life, depending on what you are doing and how hard the computer is working.

@Skepsik yes it …
@Skepsik yes it will get hot, so does the 13″, but it should not cause any problems. I have not heard of any failures or anything like that related to the heat.

But I heard that …
But I heard that when running in windows, the video card defaults to the 9600M GT making it heat up real quick.

@Skepsik yes it …
@Skepsik yes it would be worth it because the 15in has a faster processor and two graphics cards with one dedicated to gaming, but it is rumored that apple will be updating the 15in and 17in MBP to add quad core processors very soon. so I would recommend waiting if you can

Yeah im also …
Yeah im also thinking about getting a macbook pro 13 inch, im probably going to run windows 7 natively on it. I know the 15 inch will run games better than the 13 inch but is it worth all the extra heat it creates?

I am getting a new …
I am getting a new macbook pro, and I leaning towards the 13in one (same specs are yours), mainly because its cheaper. Like you, I will use mainly OS, but for gaming I will switch to windows. Do you think there is a big difference between the way the games will run on the 13in and the 15in? Should I get Windows7 (32bit or 64)?

@Kazzel22
Thanks man. Im really looking forward to a macbook pro. Is yours the basic model? I like the way it runs some of the games you have on your videos.

@BIGAIRLIKE23 I do …
@BIGAIRLIKE23 I do not know if the mac runs windows 7 better than a pc because I have not ran it on a PC, but it woks just fine on the mac once you install the drivers (which is very easy)

@Kazzel22
Im getting a macbook pro but will mainly run Windows 7 since im more used to that operating system. Since they say that mac book pro can run windows 7 better than a pc I will buy one.

I mainly run Mac OS …
I mainly run Mac OS X, but for gaming I run Windows. The only downside about bootcamp is having to restart to change OS’s and sometimes I am just too lazy and leave it in windows

If I had a mac then I would probably run the Mac OS though but interesting video
