So, I thought I’d do a quick write-up to help any of you who are in the same position I was. But be warned, I’ll be going into the good and the bad points of Simple Php, so if that’s not something you want to read, you might may as well leave now. My first impressions of Simple Php:The training course: Simple PHP is well designed and concieved to give a rapid start into learning PHP to allow you to develop or maintain PHP code on your website.PHP is a server-side scripting language for creating dynamic Web pages. You create pages with PHP and HTML. What Simple Php has helped me achieve:The training course: Simple PHP allowed me to dive quickly into address some minor issues with several plug-ins on one of my WordPress blogs as well as some issues within WordPress . The top 5 things that I learned from Simple Php:1 Where and how PHP is used 2 Syntax 3 Browser and Server interaction 4 Debugging of PHP 5 Troubleshooting What I find most useful about Simple Php:Logical lesson layout and excellent exercises. Who would benefit from purchasing Simple Php:Anyone who wants to delve into the code of thier Blog or website and advance their job prospects and computer skill. What I think was left out of Simple Php:A little more demostrations and example code would help. How quickly Simple Php can help someone:Within 6 to 8 hours of effort. Proof that Simple Php really works:Within 2 hours an issue with my blogs was solved and a fix implemented. Negatives about Simple Php:It depends on your needs and skills but it can sometimes take a little too much time on certain topics. Cons There are a number of places where this service can improve. Hopefully some of these enhancements will come soon. Firstly, even if the customer service ensured by Carbonite is one of the best ones, users think that it would still require some improvements. Most of them have complained that the queries are not handled as promised and the information delivered is sometimes not enough. Offering live chat, phone and e-mail support is a great move, but in order to maximize their customers’ satisfaction Carbonite needs to pay more attention at the services’ quality. Restoring files in volume or doing so to another operating system (e.g. Windows XP to Vista) has proven to be a difficult experience for some. Since the main intention of having an online storage backup is to have access to your files anytime you may need them, a complicated retrieval process can discourage users from utilizing the service. It is most important to know that Carbonite will only perform automatic backups on documents, photos, music files, email and settings. Large individual files as well as applications and videos must initially be backed up manually. Once you have done that, those files will be added to the automatic backup from then on. Not knowing this has caused some people to lose their music and videos when their computers crashed. Carbonite Review Summary Carbonite is one of the more reliable online backup services available today. It places a lot of emphasis on ease of use and security, which are two of the main considerations that home users look for. However, it is not perfect but none of these services are. There has to be some comprimise when you’re paying less than $5/month for unlimited online backup. The good news is, Carbonite and services similar to it continue to improve every year.
