Hey, Andy Malone here.
And you’re reading my uncensored review of what I really thought about Shokz’s Starcraft 2 Guide.
Note that this is a review. If you’re looking for the official Shokz’s Starcraft 2 Guide website, then click here: Shokz’s Starcraft 2 Guide
Why am I writing this? Well, when I was thinking of buying Shokz’s Starcraft 2 Guide, there wasn’t many real reviews around.
So, I thought I’d do a quick write-up to help any of you who are in the same position I was.
But be warned, I’ll be going into the good and the bad points of Shokz’s Starcraft 2 Guide, so if that’s not something you want to read, you might may as well leave now.
What Shokz’s Starcraft 2 Guide has helped me achieve:
One of the best things about this StarCraft 2 guide and separates it from the rest is how it doesn’t offer generalized information. It offers a variety effective strategies depending on your race of choice and who you’re playing against including strengths and weaknesses for each along with build orders.
The top 5 things that I learned from Shokz’s Starcraft 2 Guide:
1 A complete hot key guide for whichever race you choose.
2 Build orders for each race to get you up and running as fast as possible. Combined with the hot key guide, first time gamers can improve their level exponentially by employing these two sections.
3 A section on StarCraft 2 terms/lingo so that you can hold your own with the best of them when you’re in game.
4 A scouting guide so that you can most effectively and safely check up on your opposition’s progress in a game.
5 A guide on the XEL Naga cliff trick so that you can use the watch towers without being attacked.
What I find most useful about Shokz’s Starcraft 2 Guide:
This is a welcome breath of fresh air compared to the guides which lump everything all into one strategy. If you try one across-the-board method, it’s likely going to work in less than 50% of the games which you play in.
In addition to the guides in the member’s section, there are dozens of videos taken from real matches which showcase effective and winning strategies firsthand which I found to be a major help, as reading something is one thing but seeing it in action and having it being explained there is so much better.
Who would benefit from purchasing Shokz’s Starcraft 2 Guide:
Shokz’s is one of the first StarCraft 2 tip guides available to give players of this sequel to the best selling original all of the tips and edge that they need to smoke out their competition, regardless of their race choice and game play strategy. It was written by a diamond level (Battle.net) beta testers of the game who knows all of the ins and outs and wrote the guide so that first time players can expontentially improve on their level while focusing more on a wealth of strategies for more experience players.
What I think was left out of Shokz’s Starcraft 2 Guide:
Nothing that I can tell unless you’re a purist who likes to endure the pain of learning by trail and error.
How quickly Shokz’s Starcraft 2 Guide can help someone:
Almost instantly and it should be noted that with the guide you get constant updates for life so given that the game is still in its infancy we can expect multiple additions in the coming weeks and months.
Proof that Shokz’s Starcraft 2 Guide really works:
You will find you plan better and play more successfully by using Shokz Starcraft 2 Mastery Guide & Campaign Guide

We are deciding whether or not to get a windows home server. We have on vista pc connected directly to our router through lan, on pc connected wirelessly to our router, and two macs (one leopard and one tiger) connected wirelessly to our router. Should we get a Windows home server for backups and file sharing, or is there a better alternitive. sorry, ONE vista pc and ONE XP pc.
HP MediaSmart Server EX470
This is a great home server which will allow file sharing and back up. This is not however an application server.
We have had a Home Server (WHS) installed since 2008 with 7 Tbyte of storage. It backs up 8 systems (5 Windows 7 and 2 Virtual PC and One XP laptop.) It has worked flawlessly and WHS is redundant backed to Carbonite. The remote access is exceptional and I have had people in Europe access files without problems. Andy
There is an excellent Home server resource at

Oftentimes, a frenzied pace takes over our days as we frantically attempt to squeeze chauffeuring two children to three different after-school-activities, grocery shopping, a stop at the ATM machine, picking up the shirts at the cleaners, returning library books, and a mad rush to ship a package before the Post Office closes. Simultaneously, we are fielding phone calls from seven or eight important people and an additional dozen callers of lesser degrees of prestige. Text messages and emails cause our Blackberries to beep nonstop as we juggle the lifestyle of a busy 21st-century parent. Does it have to be this way? Does everything have to be rushed? When do we get a chance to slow down? Despite the vast array of time-saving devices throughout our modern homes (I can count four on the kitchen counter alone), we find our time scarcer than ever before. Check out the free 30 tips on time saving: 30 Free Tips from the Creating Hours Book
