Carbonite backup is one the many online backup storage services available in the market today which are designed to provide alternative backup protection in the event of computer failures or natural catastrophes. This Carbonite review takes a closer look at the service and evaluates its features to see how it keeps up with the demands of the times.
Carbonite Backup Main Features
Carbonite charges an annual subscription fee of $54.95 which gives you unlimited backup capacity, encrypted storage, user-friendly procedures and technical support that comes in the forms of phone, live chat and email. This software runs on Windows XP, Vista and Macintosh.
Carbonite uses a single type of service which is applicable both for personal and business use. Currently, the service is free for a 15-day trial period with no credit card required.
Pros
Carbonite users are satisfied and impressed by many features of online backup services, as the following:
Ease of Use – It is easy to set-up and use. The installation is fast and simple and the backup process is easy to follow.
Security – Files are encrypted before leaving your computer and are stored encrypted on Carbonite’s secured servers, completely safeguarding them from unauthorized access.
Background Worker – This online storage backup facility functions quietly in the background without slowing down your computer or causing any disruption to your work.
Automatic Backup – When you are done with the installation and initial backup, you can simply forget about it. A wide range of file types are backed up automatically so that you do not have worry about doing the task on your own.
Reliable Service at a Small Cost – Carbonite backup offers a very affordable way of keeping your files secure. At less than $5/month, that’s a small price to pay for convenience and peace of mind.
Cons
There are a number of places where this service can improve. Hopefully some of these enhancements will come soon.
Firstly, even if the customer service ensured by Carbonite is one of the best ones, users think that it would still require some improvements. Most of them have complained that the queries are not handled as promised and the information delivered is sometimes not enough. Offering live chat, phone and e-mail support is a great move, but in order to maximize their customers’ satisfaction Carbonite needs to pay more attention at the services’ quality.
Restoring files in volume or doing so to another operating system (e.g. Windows XP to Vista) has proven to be a difficult experience for some. Since the main intention of having an online storage backup is to have access to your files anytime you may need them, a complicated retrieval process can discourage users from utilizing the service.
It is most important to know that Carbonite will only perform automatic backups on documents, photos, music files, email and settings. Large individual files as well as applications and videos must initially be backed up manually. Once you have done that, those files will be added to the automatic backup from then on. Not knowing this has caused some people to lose their music and videos when their computers crashed.
Carbonite Review Summary
Carbonite is one of the more reliable online backup services available today. It places a lot of emphasis on ease of use and security, which are two of the main considerations that home users look for. However, it is not perfect but none of these services are. There has to be some comprimise when you’re paying less than $5/month for unlimited online backup. The good news is, Carbonite and services similar to it continue to improve every year.

Windows 7 has proven that it has already been the dream operating system which Windows users were expecting from Microsoft for long years.
I know it is something unbelievable for Windows XP users and Win XP fans. Especially after the Windows Vista experience, many XP users are disappointed with Microsoft and lost their belief in Microsoft can manage building a better operating system.
Windows 7 is a better operating system? What makes an OS better?
Windows users were waiting for a faster system, just like they feel with Windows XP. Yes Windows 7 is fast. It has very good system start stars. Its boot period is within 30 seconds. When compared with boot time of Windows Vista, XP users will like this enhancement in Windows 7.
Is being a fastest system enough for a better operating system? Of course it is not enough. For long years, Windows was claimed to be an unsecure system in the professional area. Hackers have targeted Windows systems for long years. With Windows Vista, Microsoft has showed how sensitive it is about security and protecting its users’ data and privacy against black hat hackers. Internet Explorer 8 is on the parallel way with Windows 7 to build a more secure environment for users.
Windows 7 has improvements when compared to a relatively secure system Vista against XP. It is introducing new security applications to users to keep their private data secure and away from unauthorized hands.
What about stability? Is it stable enough to satisfy Windows users?
Yes, Windows 7 is stable. I am testing this new operating system (OS) since its first public available CTP (Community Technology Preview) versions. And I have not yet seen the blue dead screen on my computer screen. Not even once. I know the feeling a blue screen will cause while you are working on an important issue or while playing an exciting game on your computer. But note my words; Windows 7 is stable so that you will love this version of Windows very much.
Of course Microsoft has left behind some mini-applications like Dreamscene for the sake of stability. But it worths. If you are using Windows at your office and you depend on this system for all of your work on your computer, Windows Seven will make you extremely glad with your choice.
One more advantage of Windows 7 is for home users. If you have a thin computer, I mean if your computer has a low performance configuration and hardware specification, while Vista will even fail to work on it, Windows 7 will adapt itself to work with best performance over legacy configurations.
The number of system services that Windows 7 depends on is less than Vista requires. This is a great advantage with RAM usage. You can think of a Windows 7 system like a new version of Win XP with its resource usage features.
So please be calm all Windows XP fans. You will love this new operating system. It is the Lucky Seven version for all Windows users. Fast, secure and thin with best performance. Be ready to adapt yourself to the new Windows 7.

Canon EOS Rebel T1i 15.1 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Troy_Richards]Troy Richards Professional (as well as aspiring professionals) photographers usually resort to single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras for greater control over the manual configurations. SLR cameras enable photographers to have almost complete control over the modes, features and configurations of their cameras to produce the best shot possible. One of my all time favorite SLR cameras is the Canon EOS Rebel T1i 15.1 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera. This new model comes with a wide range of features, many of which were previously only available on more expensive models. Here is a quick look at why the Canon EOS Rebel T1i 15.1 MP CMOS Digital Camera is a winner. This model has a powerful 15.1MP sensor. This high resolution (together with the DIGIC 4 processor) enables the accurate and natural reproduction of colors on the picture taken. The 18-55mm lens that is included with this model does a pretty good job, but on high resolution, the 15.1MP sensor works best with the EF 70-200mm and other similar lenses. Regardless of the camera, I am always very appreciative of a huge display. The Canon EOS Rebel T1i 15.1 MP CMOS Digital Camera has a large 3″ display that works like a dream. The surface of the display is anti-reflective, displaying crisp previews even under bright sunlight and dark lighting conditions (it has level of brightness adjustments). This model is surprisingly light and feels pretty good on my grip. It has the same casing as the XSi model and is a little smaller compared to many other SLR cameras. The buttons are well placed and Canon camera users will have little trouble getting used to this model. This camera also records HD videos and can be easily connected to other devices (it comes with a HDMI port). Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak recalls the moment he stumbled upon the idea of how to put color into personal computers. The inspiration came during a sleepless four-day and four-night design session while building the Atari game Breakout. “That was probably one of the biggest things Apple ever did,” he says.

A Silicon Valley icon and philanthropist for the past three decades, Steve Wozniak, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Wheels of Zeus (wOz), helped shape the computing industry with his design of Apple’s first line of products the Apple I and II and influenced the popular Macintosh. For his achievements at Apple Computer, Steve was awarded the National Medal of Technology by the President of the United States in 1985, the highest honor bestowed America’s leading innovators.
In 2000 Steve was inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame and was awarded the prestigious Heinz Award for Technology, The Economy and Employment for “single-handedly designing the first personal computer and for then redirecting his lifelong passion for mathematics and electronics toward lighting the fires of excitement for education in grade school students and their teachers.”
Making significant investments of both his time and resources in education, Wozniak “adopted” the Los Gatos School District, providing students and teachers with hands-on teaching and donations of state-of-the-art technology equipment. Wozniak founded the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and was the founding sponsor of the Tech Museum, Silicon Valley Ballet and Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose.
Steve is currently a member of the board of directors for Jacent, a developer of cost-effective telephony solutions, and Danger, Inc., developer of a end-to-end wireless Internet platform.

This is just ten minutes of Bad Company 2 footage that I quickly put together. A variety of situations, decent amount of action, and a lot of atmosphere. This is not meant to be a total ownage video, just something to show off what the game is like.
